During my nocturnal web surfing session with Vodka and Coke to hand (I was still fuming over a couple of missed opportunities today), I came across the following quote from an interview with bookmaker Victor Chandler (VC Bet)
“One thing with bookmaking is that it’s an awful lot like punting: never chase when behind, only push forward when you’re going well. A lot of people have a different mentality. When they’re winning they shut up shop, when they’re losing they chase. That’s the biggest mistake a bookie or punter can make.”

Enjoyed reading your blog, and browsing the site. Must’ve spent about 3 hours on here tonight (I googled SmarterSig and your blog came up).
You have some good resources on here, a lot of it from the USA I see.
Wish you the best of luck for the Flat season, and will look in again.

Glad you enjoy my site Paul and welcome any feedback.
The reason for referencing American handicapping material is not by accident. Try to find a decent book on the subject from a British author and you’ll find (with the exception of a few notable examples) little content that really instructs the punter how to improve their approach to punting.
