Flat Season Objectives

Posted by slipperytoad as Betting Strategy

At the beginning of the {insert [Flat, All Weather, National Hunt]} season I endeavour to define high level betting objectives to follow. Normally they are usually broken within weeks so this time around I’ll keep them really simple.

  • Turf Racing: Execute the “Virtual Stable” strategy
  • 3yo+ handicaps over 5,6,7,8 furlongs (Turf and All Weather Racing)
  • Bath Racecourse

bath_mainThe flat season kicks off at Doncaster and the Spring Mile (2.45) and Lincoln (3.55) are a rich source of future winners so these races will kick off my flat season.

Now I am located next to Bath Racecourse, although I hate the place (it’s a gaff track) I can (at minimal cost) easily attend meetings on a regular basis.

Being there will allow me to hone my decision making skills under the stressful conditions of the betting ring.
