Interlude

Posted by slipperytoad as Betting Strategy

As a lasting legacy from my service as a Flight Simulator Engineer in the Royal Air Force, I awaken very early in the morning. When I’m compos mentos, I turn on the radio to listen to the financial news.

Having booked flights with XL airlines in February this year for myself and Ms Toad’s holiday in Lanzarote, you can image my horror last Thursday when I heard the news of XL’s financial collapse!

At 5.30 am that morning I knew instantly we were £330 out of pocket (obviously being financial responsible and prudent people, Ms Toad and I paid for our flights by Debit Card), so after a quick reappraisal of the situation, decided to re-book our flights with another airline after shattering Ms Toad’s peaceful slumber to discuss options.

So with that baring any other financial issues with Thomas Cook, I’m flying off to Lanzarote on the 18th September for that illusive summer sun. Obviously the blog will be out of action while I’m away.

Those of you that have been monitoring selections from my pace handicapping strategy would have noted a positive outcome from this strategy.

So I decided to formalise the results thus far by recording all bets using a notional staking plan of £1 = 1 point here are a summary of results achieved from 7th Aug to date.

Rome was not built in a day, but I’m happy, maybe I’ll get one of those illusive letters from Betfair indicating that I’ve qualified for a 20% increase in commission charges.

While I am away I shall take stock to try and build upon my improvement and investigate Laying and Exotic bet strategies in between San Miguel’s.

Adios hasta luego
