Welcome to the new and improved slipperytoad.

As I wrote previously, my move from the old web site was motivated by a number of factors
- Blogger was becoming restrictive and unreliable. At times, trying to post comments and make changes on the old platform was becoming cumbersome and frustrating
- I needed to refocus my betting efforts after the demise of the Superform electronic form book subscription service. Without relevant handicapping tools or ratings I had no hope of developing a profitable betting strategy; my so called “edge”.
Like all moves I can’t say that it was easy. For those that are interested, my site is hosted and managed by Linksky. The blog tool software is WordPress and the web template was created by Design Disease; modified by me as required.
What next?
Well, during migration, I took the opportunity to read all of my previous posts prior to retention/deletion. I came across some really good stuff which I have retained in the new web site. Unfortunately now I have the opportunity to review my progress from 100,000 feet I realise that for the majority of my time under the old regime was more “gambler” than ”investor”.
Similar to moving into a new house, now I have the site keys from the virtual estate agent, I need to un-box various items, put new strategies in place and do all the other activities necessary to turn this web site into my new punting home.

Hi Mike,
I’m loving the new look but I thought you were dropping the mug punter bit?!?!
:-)
All the best

Thanks Mark. The redesign took a bit of work and some late nights, hence the oversight on your previous input. Now corrected.

I have toyed with the idea of changing from blogger, but decided against it for various reasons.
However, you seem to have managed it fine.
As with new haircuts, it’ll take a day or two to get used to, but as it stands it looks neatly cut.
Cheers.

Thanks Sandracer
It took a while but definitely worth the effort as I now have control over the website. Updates, additions etc are now a breeze.
Downside is that there is too much to tweak using WordPress and I cant stop tweaking those bells and whistles!
